It’s been a long time since I’ve shared any empties. I’ve been trying to make an effort to actually finish every product I open, but sometimes I find myself tossing and giving up. I’m surprised that my product preferences haven’t really changed since falling pregnant and there are few products I’m staying away from. I talked a bit about them in another blog post you can read here. So far my summer empties are minimal, but I’m making a dent in my stash!
Anyways, here are the summer empties I’ve accumulated!
Sunday Riley Tidal Brightening Enzyme Water Cream // Okay, this stuff is amazing. Some complain about the color and scent but neither bothered me. I have combo skin and was using this as my morning moisturizer. It’s thinner than other moisturizers I’ve used in the past but it sure did do it’s job. My makeup sate perfectly on top and my other skincare seemed to agree with it. This has for sure been enjoyable and I will grab it next time I’m looking for a new daytime moisturizer.
Dermalogica Phyto Replenish Body Oil // I’ve already replaced it and will never go without this body oil in my life. I have two backups on hand at all times. It’s literally the best body oil I’ve ever used. I’ve been using it on my belly too!
107 Coreflex Hydro Rich Cream // I’m a longtime fan of 107 and their products but I had never used this moisturizer. I fell in love with the calming herbal scent (no fragrance added) and the way it made my skin feel. I loved this in the mornings and especially on hotter days. Top of my list! It’s new version (they rebranded) is a 2021 HARPER’S BAZAAR KOREA BEAUTY AWARD WINNER! The whole lines is phenomenal and really effective.
Ole Henriksen Goodnight Glow // I shared my 21 day journey using only Ole products a few months back on my Instagram. This was one of the products they sent for me to use in my routine and I fell in love. Literally in love. I’m not using retinol right now since I’m pregnant so this was the perfect alternative. Honestly, I need to grab another it’s that good. I feel it helped keep any and all hormonal breakouts at bay and helped lessen blackheads in my tzone. It also left my skin more even and noticeably brighter. I haven’t experienced any melasma and I’m giving some credit to this!
Ole Henriksen Wrinkle Blur Bakuchiol Eye Gel // I’ve now finished two of these beauties and can honestly say this is in my top three eye creams. It’s gentle, lightweight and works wonders. I feel it’s eased my milia and has really helped combat fine lines and crows feet in a time when I can’t get my top off of botox. 100% worth the price tag!
Youth To the People 15% Vitamin C + Clean Caffeine Energy Serum // I’ve been loving YTTP products lately and this Vitamin C was thoroughly enjoyable. I would be picking another bottle up if I didn’t have a few on hand I need to use up. It’s lightweight and moisturizing while giving my skin that extra pep from the caffeine. I’ve wanted to slow the melasma that might come on this pregnancy and really feel like Vitamin C is one of thee ingredients that has helped me so far.
