I feel like I haven’t worn as much makeup this year. I guess I haven’t since California has basically been on lock down since last March and I’m not going out as much. Anyways, this year I’ve been focusing on more skin care and finding products that work well for my skin. I’ve also taken the time to go through my entire foundation collection and hone in on my favorite foundations of the year.
Smashbox Studio Skin // I rediscovered this foundation and don’t know why I ever packed it away in a drawer. It’s full full coverage and a little goes a very long way. I like to wear it when I’m looking for fuller coverage and I make sure I apply on moisturized skin. It lasts all day too, especially if you set it.
It Cosmetics Matte CC Cream // This has been my most favorite for a while. I use it multiple times a week if I’m doing my makeup. It’s honestly my go to. I find it’s not as matte as the name suggests and it’s extremely long wearing. I don’t feel like I’ve been wearing makeup all day when it comes time to wash my face at night.
Lancome Skin Feels Good // Ah, this baby is super moisturizing. It’s considered a tinted moisturizer but has good coverage. This has been a go to for me when I need a little coverage but want a no makeup look for the day.
It Cosmetics Bye Bye Foundation // I switch between this and the Skin Fells Good. Both are super hydrating and help me achieve that no makeup look with little effort. I feel like my skin can breath when I have this foundation on and I don’t instantly want to take it off when I get home.
It Cosmetics Your Skin But Better // This is a new one that launched this year. I was super surprised because I fell in love instantly. It’s more medium coverage but can be built up to a nice full coverage if wanted. I feel like it’s extremely long wearing and is a bit heavier than the other It foundations I use, but I still love it. It literally looks like skin but better.
Lancome Teint Idole Ultra Wear // This is another gem I picked up out of the back of my foundation drawer. I don’t know why I ever put it down but I did order myself a new once since the bottle I had was a year or so old. I feel like I get medium to full coverage and it feels and looks like my skin. I’ve been using this has my “going out” foundation even though I haven’t gone out at all this year.
Rare Beauty Liquid Touch // This one blew me away honestly. I love how matte and long wearing it is withhold being heavy or cakey. It’s a very liquidy foundation and it really makes my skin look flawless. I love the price too. I reviewed it over on Instagram, check it out!
