Since it’s finally getting colder and feeling more and more like winter, it’s time to switch our skincare routines. Each season calls for different products since the weather changes and affects our skin. I swap out almost all my products when I switch to my winter skincare routine.
My Routine
Year round I have the same routine for the most part. I add and subtract things here and there depending on how my skin is and what the weather is like. My typical routine consists of using a cleanser (two cleansers in the evening), toner, eye serum and/or cream, hydrating serum, treatment serum and/or cream and a moisturizer. I love using oils in place of moisturizers in the winter time because my skin can get super dry.
My Winter Products
Good Molecules Rosewater Cleansing Gel // This is such a gentle cleanser. Great for any skin type and leaves my skin feeling hydrated after cleansing. Super affordable too!
Dermalogica Special Cleansing Gel // This has been a favorite of mine for years. It’s great for any skin type and doesn’t dry my skin out. I always go back to this cleanser.
Dr. Zenovia Vitamin C Brightening Toner // This toner is pretty new to me but I have been loving it. I am hooked on vitamin c products too. I feel like good toners are key to any routine.
Biologique Recherche P50 V // This was a splurge of mine a few months ago. It’s helped my pigmentation tremendously and doesn’t dry out my skin like other active can. I’ve stopped all other acids and active like retinol to use this and I swear by it.
Sunday Riley Vitamin C Serum // One of my favorite vitamin c serums. I tend to mix it with the C.E.O. oil in my morning routine.
Sunday Riley C.E.O. Oil // I’ve added this oil to my morning routine and mix it with the serum. I love how nourishing it is and it packs a good amount of vitamin c.
Dr. Dennis Gross Alpha Beta Serum // I actually got this in my Fab Fit Fun subscription and surprised by how much I love it. I use it at night after toning and before other oils and serums.
Youth To The People Dream Eye Cream // I have to be careful with the eye creams I use because I get milia pretty easily. I use this twice a week and have had no problems. It’s like a surge of hydration to my under eyes and it’s amazing.
Dermalogica Biolumin-C Eye Serum // This has been my go to eye serum for the last few months. It’s a great product year round and I would suggest it to anyone. I was blown away by the results I saw. It really brightened up my under eye area and has helped with some minor fine lines.
VitaBrid Eye and Face Cream // This brand is new to me but I was drawn to them because their slow releasing vitamin c. This is the first product I’ve tried from the range and I can honestly say I can’t wait to try the rest. It’s super hydrating and lightweight. I’ve been using it as an eye cream in the mornings.
Herbivore Phoenix Oil // I’ve said for years that if I win the lotto, I am buying a bathtub full of this stuff. This is hands down my favorite oil of all time. I use it under and over moisturizer (not at the same time).
High Cannabis Facial Oil // This oil is new to me this year but I have been thoroughly enjoying it. I used it just about all summer too and a, happy to bring it into my winter skincare routine with me.
Dermalogica Sleep Cocoon // Holy grail sleeping mask right here. My husband even loves it. It’s lightweight and does a phenomenal job keeping my skin moisturized. It’s worth the investment.
Dermalogica Active Moist // This has been a ride or die moisturizer for me over the years. I tend to reach for oils during the winter dry months but recently I’ve been experiencing an oily t-zone. I’m keeping oils away from the area and opting for a moisturizer instead, so back to Active Moist I go. It’s fab for any skin type and is just an all around great product.
