I’ve always tried to be aware of brands I support and spend my money on. With recent events, I’m trying to be even more aware of who I support. There have been lists of Black owned beauty brands popping up in every corner of the internet and I wanted to compile a list of ones that really caught my eye. Some I’ve shopped with and some have been on my radar for a while. I plan on putting my money where it matters most to me!
Side note…any commissions I make through any of these brands I will be donating!
Mented Cosmetics
I haven’t tried anything from Mented but am actually placing an order through QVC this weekend. I’m looking at their blushes! I have a few friends who have raved about their products and I can’t wait to try!

The Lip Bar
Another brand I really want to try! I’m eyeing their Fresh Glow Duo in the color Travel Bug. It’s a 2-in-1 bronzer with a highlighting blush and they are absolutely beautiful! I just recently heard of this brand but every review I’ve seen has been positive. I love their packaging too.
Colored Raine
I have one of Coloured Raines eyeshadow palettes and I absolutely love it! I believe I received it in a subscription box a few months back. I’ve been using it weekly and love the quality of the shadows. They make beautiful palettes and I’ve seen really good reviews on their lipsticks.
Uoma Beauty
I was intrigued by Uoma a while back while shopping at Ulta. I have a few things on my wishlist and have heard nothing but good things about their products. I’m a huge lover of bronzers, so I might have to scoop one up soon.
Juvia’s Place
I love Juvia’s Place foundation! I haven’t tried much else from the range but plan on picking up a palette or two since the reviews are amazing! I love the variety they have because they make a palette for everyone. You want bright colors? They have them! Neutrals like me? They have them!
Beauty Bakerie
I LOVE Beauty Bakeries highlighters and setting powder. Their liquid lipsticks are pretty amazing too, I have three or four of them. Their packaging is the cutest too!
Briogeo
Briogeo has been a life saver for my hair. I had no idea they were a Black owned brand. Everything I’ve tried from their range has worked for my hair and I will forever spend my money with them. I actually have a few things I’m ordering as a birthday present to myself!
Plant Apothecary
I’ve tried a few of Plant Apothecary’s body washes and I’m impressed. They are vegan and cruelty free too! I will make sure to grab some of their body wash next time I need it. Their Start Happy scent is my absolute favorite!
The Honey Pot
Need feminine care, look no further! I’ve had The Honey Pot on my radar for a while now and have already purchased a few products from them. They are affordable, organic and available at Target!
Why use a product that has one makeup power when you can use one that has two?
I see a little bit of product, you should add more product!
I would love to add more products! Do you have any favorites I could check out?
