Okay, since Sephora’s Spring Sale is on it’s way I figured I’d share my thoughts on one of Drunk Elephant’s newest launches. I was pretty stoked to hear about Drunk Elephant’s new haircare line and couldn’t wait to try it out for myself. They amazing team over at DE sent me the products to put to the test and after a week and a half of using them, I’m ready to share! Read on to find out what I think about #DrunkHairDontCare Drunk Elephant’s new haircare line.
The new line consists of four new products; T.L.A. Happi Scalp Scrub, Cocomino Glossing Shampoo, Cocomino Marula Cream Conditioner and Wild Marula Tangle Spray.
The bottles are sleek and colorful in true Drunk Elephant fashion. The names also match up with some of Drunk Elephants skincare, which I find pretty awesome. Another detail about the new rang that I’m loving is the pH levels are featured in the bottles. I personally don’t pick my haircare according to the pH of the product, but I do find it helpful and informative.
T.L.C. Happi Scalp ScrubI’ve tried the scrub twice now and am quite impressed. I don’t use a lot of hair products on my hair and have used scalp scrubs in the past to reduce build up, but nothing like this. It’s unique formulation really gets in there and does an amazing job! Wayne Goss actually used this on his face and beard area which I thought was absolute genius! At $36 for 6 fl. oz., I would purchase again and again. I have shoulder length hair and the scrub is used only on the scalp. I have hardly used any in my two applications and actually plan on using a bit more next time I have a run at it.
What It IsWhat It’s Formulated To DoOur secret for a healthy scalp and fuller-looking hair, T.L.C. Happi Scalp Scrub uses a stable, supercharged AHA/BHA acid blend designed to rapidly break down and dissolve dead skin cells and styling product buildup while biodegradable and perfectly gentle plant cellulose exfoliating beads sweep them away.

I have to be honest about these two, I first thought the bottle were wee small when I placed them in my shower. I tend to go a bit heavy on shampoos and conditioners, so I always buy the big salon bottles to be safe. Anyways, that was a first impression and now, I don’t feel the same. I hardly used any of either product and know these 8 fl. oz. bottles will last me quite a while. My hair felt clean and super hydrated when I stepped out of the shower the first time using them. I was impressed because my hair normally feels heavy and dirty when I switch or try new shampoos and conditioners. It typically takes a few washes for my hair to balance out and feel normal. At $25 a bottle, I will be purchasing and find they are a fabulous deal for a luxury brand.

What Is Cocomino Marula Cream Conditioner Formulated To Do?A concentrated, nourishing blend of non-fragrant plant oils and butters work to soften, smooth and detangle all hair types while penetrating the hair shaft to fortify and protect against the damage done by heat styling and color treatments. At a scalp-compatible acidic pH of 3.6, Cocomino Marula Cream Conditioner, powered with coconut alkanes, won’t disrupt scalp’s delicate acid mantle or cause the buildup commonly associated with silicones.

I’m all about tangle sprays and leave-in conditioners. My hair has changed so much (for the better) after incorporating certain sprays into my routine. I use to have super dry and brittle hair from all the bleaching and lack of good haircare. I’m also very picky about my sprays because most of them weigh my hair down majorly. I won’t name names, but I’ve spent a pretty penny on a few high end sprays that left my strands feeling blah. I was honestly not expecting much from this, but #DrunkHairDontCare YOLO. The first time I used this spray I only used it on my towel dried hair. I didn’t notice a big difference because my hair was already super soft and after air drying, shiner than it’s ever been outside the salon. I then started using it before using any hot tools and that’s when I noticed how amazing it really is. It literally turns my hair into soft, silky strands of love! At $25 for 4 fl. oz., we have another winner!
What It IsWhat It’s Formulated To DoA superfine, weightless leave-in mist that effectively detangles and smooths while restoring natural movement, manageability and shine without weighing hair down. Plant oils and advanced, silicone-free smoothing and anti-static agents provide heat protection.

My Final ThoughtsNourishing plant oils—including sacha inchi seed, pracaxi seed, marula and argan—condition while penetrating the hair shaft to strengthen it against the high temperatures of hair straighteners and dryers. Our multi-amino acid blend adds strength, improves manageability and gives hair a healthier appearance with visible body and bounce. Added to damp hair and before heat styling (or air drying), Wild Marula Tangle Spray leaves hair feeling healthier— never sticky, greasy or heavy. Wild Marula Tangle Spray has a pH level of 4.5.

I am a fan of Drunk Elephant and have reviewed some of their skincare products, including their T.L.C. Babyfacial in the past. I love what they stand for and I love that they use good quality ingredients without all the frills and fluff that some other brands do. I am honestly blown away by #DrunkHairDontCare Drunk Elephant’s new haircare line and see myself keeping my shower stocked. The products are clean and cruelty free, which is something I’m looking for more and more. I am also a fan of the price point this line boasts. You get a ton of product for the price you’re paying, and when you score them on sale, it’s even better! I highly recommend this new line and am so happy I was able to test it out and share with you!
