I’m officially on the CBD train…well, kind of.
CBD is everywhere! You can get gummy candy, soda, body creams, bath bombs, oils and the last goes on and on and on.
I was a bit apprehensive to try CBD in anything because I didn’t know what it would do to me. I don’t want to get high (not judging those who do!) and I don’t want something that will make me feel odd. I’d much rather take something natural when I can’t sleep or when I’m experiencing anxiety and joint pain. Insert CBD. Most companies promise that it’s a safe, effective and all natural cure-all…kind of the like coconut oil!
Well, here’s what I found out when I Googled “What is CBD?”.
CBD stands for cannabidiol. It is the second most prevalent of the active ingredients of cannabis (marijuana). While CBD is an essential component of medical marijuana, it is derived directly from the hemp plant, which is a cousin of the marijuana plant.

The second question I had for Google was is CBD legal?
I found that it is and isn’t. On the federal level, it may not be everywhere. If it’s made from hemp, it’s legal as long as it contains no more than .03% THC (that’s what gets you high). It’s all really confusing and seems like there is some grey area on the law, so I’m not quite 100% sure. Am I worried? Nope, not at all. California has legalized marijuana and there are tons of distributers of CDB out there, so I’m sure I won’t be going to jail anytime soon.

I’m not an expert at all and will never claim to be. I only know what I read on-line honestly. Educating yourself about what you’re putting in your body is really important. I researched quite a bit before I even thought about taking a CBD product.
Bluhm sent me their Pharmaceutical Grade CBD Oil in the flavor Summer Lemon. It has 500 mg per bottle and 16.67 mg per serving. I’ve been adding one dropper full to a water bottle and drinking it throughout the day. The directions state that you can squirt a whole dropper under your tongue and hold for 1 – 2 minutes. I personally like my strategy a bit better.
The taste is great! Really fresh and not overpowering at all. It tastes like a hint of lemon in my water. I don’t taste an aftertaste at all, which is really nice. It contains Lemon Essential Oil, which I’m use to drinking, but if you aren’t it looks a bit funky in your water. It’s an oil so it floats on top.
The real question is does it work? Does it banish anxiety, joint pain, insomnia and all other ailments?
The truth is, I don’t know yet! I experience anxiety, restlessness, insomnia occasionally and joint pain.
I can say that I feel more “chill”, and it’s been easier for me to go to sleep since I’ve started ingesting the Summer Lemon CBD Oil. I’m not drinking it every day like I probably should though. I feel more at ease if that makes any sense at all.
The main reason I’m interested in taking CBD Oil is to ease the joint pain I feel in my hands and ease my anxiety. I don’t expect miracles, and I’m pretty healthy, so my expectations may differ from others.
Interested in trying CBD? I’d highly recommend Bluhm products. The flavor is great and their prices are really reasonable. I love that they are responsive and eager to help newbies like myself!!
Very interesting post.. hope it will help you with you issues.
Thank you so much!!
Love it! CBD Kratom strains like Dark Green Borneo and Maeng Da have worked wonders for me
