When I heard e.l.f. released new Hydrogel Under Eye Masks, I hopped in the car and drove straight to the store!
Who wouldn’t want to try an affordable hydrating gel mask that promises to plump, moisturize and soothe the under eyes for smoother looking skin?
I had high hopes for these new Hydrogel Under Eye Masks because the other skin care products I’ve tried from e.l.f. has been surprisingly good. They offer really affordable products that target tons of different skin concerns. I’ve seen really good reviews on most of their products and what I have tried, I’ve been pleased with.
I need my eye masks to be moisturizing, easy to apply and shaped well. These Hydrogel Under Eye Masks do all three and then some. They are soaked in serum and are sealed extremely well. The hydrogel material makes them super comfortable and non irritating, even when they dry out a bit. Applying these hydrogels was super easy too since they are packed in a tray pack and not stuck together like some I’ve tried in the past.
The serum absorbs really well and doesn’t leave a residue behind when it dries. The instructions say to leave the hydrogels on for 10 to 15 minutes, which is perfect in my opinion. If there is any serum left behind you can gently pat it into your skin. Mine where pretty much dry by the 15 minute mark. They left my under eye area extremely moisterized, so I’m totally sold on these!
You get three single-use eye masks for around $8, which makes them pretty affordable considering the other options that are out there.
Now, let’s talk about the ingredients. These Hydrogel Under Eye Masks are formulated with purified water, seaweed extract and licorice. Seaweed extract offers hydration, anti-aging and anti-inflammatory benefits to the skin. It also acts as a skin softener! Licorice is known for diminishing signs of dark circles, discoloration and age spots.
Pro tip – stick these babies in the freezer for 5 minutes or so before you apply! That will help refresh and depuff the under eye area so you can maximize the benefits!
