NeoCell reached out to me a few months ago and wanted to send me some supplements to try out. I picked their beauty chews because I’ve been reading a lot about the benefits of ingesting collagen and figured I’d give it a go!
First, they taste like little candies, and I love it! I’ve been taking one a day before eating breakfast and it feels like such a treat in the morning.
The Beauty Chews claim to promote healthy hair, stronger and radiant skin. I’ve been taking them for just about a month and can tell a difference in my hair and skin. I can’t tell you that it’s because of the beauty chews completely though. I’ve been using different products and switching up my routines, so that could be a contributing factor to my hair feeling and looking healthier and my skin becoming less congested. I don’t really experience major breakouts, but from time to time my skin likes to get all sorts of congested on me. Since starting the Beauty Chews, I’ve noticed it’s been clear. I’ve also read that it takes eight or more weeks with these ingredients to notice any significant changes, so I need to stick with it to find out if it’s really working.
ACTIVE INGREDIENTS: Biotin, Collagen, Hyaluronic Acid & Vitamin C
OTHER INGREDIENTS: Dried cane syrup, rice syrup, maltodextrin, natural flavors, sunflower lecithin, sunflower oil, malic acid, citric acid, glycerin, fruit and vegetable juice for color, citrus bioflavonoid, and stevia (Reb A).
Biotin is one of the B vitamins, B7 to be exact. It’s water-soluble and your body doesn’t store it. Biotin has been linked to increased hair growth and healthier, stronger hair. Biotin is important for energy production and brittle nails as well. Many of biotins heath claims a pretty weak due to lack of evidence but it is an important supplement for skin, hair and nails.
Collagen is the most abundant protein in our bodies but tends to decrease in production as we age. Ingesting collagen helps your skins elasticity, firmness, and moisture. It also reduces cellulite and stretch marks. Collagen also helps with stiff joints. Increasing collagen consumption is said to be like oiling an old creaky door because it helps your joints move more easily and is associated with treating osteoarthritis. Collagen is also linked to an increase in your metabolism. Collagen is known to help with hair, nails and skin as well. There are different types of collagen and many more benefits, but I think you get the point that it can be amazing for you!
Hyaluronic Acid can be found in a lot of joint supplements as well as skincare products. It hydrates skin and helps reduce wrinkles all while helping your body retain collagen. I own probably 20 or so different bottles that boast hyaluronic acic on the label, and love every one of them! I know what it does for my skin when I use it topically, so I can only imaging what it does when I ingest it!
There are so many more benefits that I’m not touching on because I’ll be writing for days and I’ll lose your attention. I’m planning on dedicating a few posts to different ingredients in the future, so stay tuned for that!
I’m really enjoying the Beauty Chews and have already repurchased. I don’t see any harm in taking these supplements, and hope that in a few months I do see some real results or improvements. If not, I see it as I’m taking preventive measures and making sure my body gets what it needs to stay healthy and young!
