I’ve been trying to get as prepped for the big day as I possibly can! I’ve been going over checklists, paying vendors, collecting addresses all while trying to keep my sanity! I’ve started doing a few things to prep myself physically and mentally for our big day too, and I figured I’d share with you!
Workout Plan
I’ve chosen Beachbody workouts, because I know and love them! I get to workout from home, which is a huge plus for me! I get a full on eating plan and a free app to help track my progress! I lost 10 pounds doing Insanity Max:30, which is a 60 day program. I’m now on Master’s Hammer and Chisel because I wanted to get in some lifting! Master’s Hammer and Chisel is another 60 day program, and is pretty intense, but manageable if you have weights on hand at your house. I can stream my workouts anywhere with the handy Beachbody on Demand app and I already know the programs work for me since I’ve done it in the past.
Adapt a Healthy Diet
Eating healthy kind of goes hand in hand with working out. Luckily for me, Beachbody offers an awesome plan that is easy for me to stick to and shop for. I meal prep as much as I can and love their plans because they are super easy to follow and the fiancé loves them just as much as I do! You can find awesome healthy recipes on Pinterest too! Meal prepping is key in my opinion because you have to eat what you made instead of taking a trip through the drive through because you are hangry on your way home from work! I’m pretty lucky because my fiancé has started the plan with me, and we have been helping each other make better choices.
Beauty Routine
I partnered with Smile Brilliant and have been working on whitening my teeth, which has been something really important to me. I’m able to do it from home, and get professional results, so it’s been a win-win for me! (Read more about my experience using Smile Brilliant’s Custom Teeth Whitening Kit …and there’s still time to enter my giveaway for a full kit!
I’ve also started masking more, and really watching the products I’ve been using on my face. I’ve been trying to drink more water, and make sure I wear sunscreen every day, even if I don’t have plans to leave the house. I’m trying to get more sleep too, when I’m able to squeeze it in! I wanted to get a few facials before the wedding, but I might be running out of time since I have less than two months to go!
Making Lists
I’m a list maker and follower. I think it’s been helping me stay a lot more organized than I thought I could be during the whole planning process. I’ve made lists of our finances, venders, what we owe, guests, what I need, ect.. You get the point right?!? Everything is on a list, and I’ve been making sure to keep up with them and checking them off as we go!!
xoxo, Nikol
so excited for you! i’m sure it’s all going to end up being beautiful!!!
as for the facials, you have beautiful skin, so you probably don’t even need them, but they do help with relaxation! i always search groupon for deals, and use their coupons when they pop up. make sure to check the studio’s yelp reviews, and even call in advance and make sure you can get appointments. i think a couple facials every other week in advance would totally be a good treat for yourself! smooth any frayed nerves for sure!
I hope so!! I’m going to check groupon for my area to see what I can come up with, maybe a massage too! I want to try the water therapy too some, I’ve heard it’s super relaxing!
