I was recently introduced to completely new product, the Mandelic Acid 5% Skin Prep Water.  It contains Mandelic Acid, a new ingredient to me! Mandelic Acid is an AHA that helps improve pigmentation, treats UV damage, and treats acne. It also helps remove dead skin cells, resulting in smoother, brighter, more plump skin. Who doesn’t want all of that?!? It’s also antibacterial, and a low irritation exfoliant. This acid is a winner in my book! Such awesome benefits, and it’s amazing for those with sensitive skin!

Recommended For 

1) Sensitive skin type : Less irritation due to low skin permeability.
2) Dry skin : moisturizing effect.
3) Acne-prone skin : Anti-bacterial effect.

How To Use

1) Before the toner, gently wipe and pat the product on your face using a cotton pad.
2) Limit the use of this product depending on your skin type. (For sensitive skin, we recommend 2-3 times a week)
3) For morning use, please make sure to apply sun-lotion after using the product.
4) We recommend not to use this product with other facial scrubs, AHA/BHA, and Vitamin C products.

My Thoughts

First, I love Wishtrend. They are an amazing on-line beauty retailer! They carry just about anything your little heart desires, and they always have amazing deals going on. I’ve placed a few orders with them, and even though shipping times vary, I’ve never had a problem with my products, and I always feel like I’m getting an awesome deal! Now onto the product!
The Skin Prep is extremely watery, and has no scent that I can detect. I followed the directions and applied it after cleansing and before using a toner. It absorbs extremely quick, and doesn’t leave any residue behind. I haven’t been using a cotton pad to apply because I feel like my hands do a better job. I disperse about two shakes into my palm, rub my hands together, and then apply to my face. I tap, and massage it into my face and neck.
I’ve noticed that my toner has been absorbing better since incorporating it into my routine, which is awesome! I’ve also noticed that my skin is smoother, and I haven’t had any breakouts. I feel like my skin is a bit brighter too! I’ve only been using it 3-4 times a week for about two months, but I’ve noticed a big difference in the overall appearance of my skin. I’d highly recommend this product! Two thumbs up from me, and at $22 a bottle, you can’t lose! I will be buying a backup the next time I place an order for sure!
