Pixi Rose Oil Blend

I first picked up the Pixi Rose Oil Blend while visiting the Pixi booth at Generation Beauty a few years back. I had my eye on it for a while, and decided to take the plunge and snatch it up finally!

 

My first impression was that it smells AMAZING! It is still one of my favorite oils to this day. Imagine walking through an acre of blooming roses! I like the dropper top as well because it makes using it super easy, and no product seems to be wasted.

 

I still like to wear it under my makeup in place of a moisturizer, but have found that it works really well on top of my nighttime moisturizer. I didn’t really mean to use it as a makeup primer, it just kind of happened by accident. I’m still really surprised at how well my tinted moisturizer and foundation hold up throughout the day when I use the Rose Oil Blend. My face doesn’t feel oily, and my makeup doesn’t slip one bit. The rose oil blend  really absorbs into my skin and doesn’t just sit on top like other products I’ve used. I’ve used several different “oil” primers, and they don’t absorb into my skin like this one does. 

 

I’ve done a little research on the ingredients, and I’m surprised at the benefits! This product is packed with amazing natural ingredients. Products like this typically cost an arm and a leg! At around $24, I think it is a total steal, and would recommend to anyone wanting to step up their oil game!

The ingredients include: Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis (Sweet Almond) Oil, Rosa Canina Fruit Oil, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Tocopherol, Pelargonium Graveolens Flower Oil, Rosa Damascena Flower Oil, Punica Granatum Seed Oil, Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Orange) Peel Oil.

 

•Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Orange) Fruit or Flower Extract is a fragrant floral extract excellent for use on sensitive, irritated skin.

 

•Punica Granatum, also known as Pomegranate, has long been touted for its high levels of Vitamin C and antioxidants, which can help prevent cell damage. Several studies have shown its ability to speed wound healing, as well as play a positive role in the repair of sun damaged and aging skin.

 

•Punica Granatum has also been shown to provide UVA- and UVB-induced damage control, skin regeneration, hyperpigmentation control, chemopreventative activity, matrix metalloproteinase inhibition, enhance the topical effectiveness of sunscreens, and destroy several viruses on contact.

 

•Rosa Damascena Flower Oil Helps balance moisture levels in the skin, reduces the appearance of skin imperfections, promotes an even skin tone and healthy complexion, emotionally uplifting. The oil is an anti-inflammatory agent and tissue regenerator loaded with therapeutic benefits for the skin.

 

•Rosa Canina Fruit Oil is known for it’s anti again properties and is used by tons of celebrities! It has also been used to treat different skin conditions and promotes the softening of scar tissue.

 

•Pelargonium Graveolens Flower Oil can help eliminate the appearance of scars and dark spots by helping improve blood circulation just below the surface of the skin and helping promote an equal distribution of melanin.

 

Also, many floral oils including rose and geranium are known to be stimulating and elevating to the mind, creating a sense of well being.
